"Huh Why me" After thinking for a moment, Hao Ren sent a text message back.

Not long after, he received another text from Xie Yujia: "To let you experience the true風采 of a great scientist!"

"Sigh... It's not necessary. I often get to experience that..." Lazily, Hao Ren sent another message back.

Based on his previous experiences, Xie Yujia’s text conversations usually didn’t exceed two or three rounds. Moreover, it was class time now; she was a diligent student who wouldn't neglect her notes for the sake of texting.

To Hao Ren's surprise, Xie Yujia persisted, immediately sending another message: "Don’t be sarcastic! We should have respect for great scientists! It’s because you don’t respect them that I must take you there!"

She even turned around in her seat at the front of the classroom to glare at Hao Ren from afar, emphasizing her intent to supervise him.

"Who is Xie Yujia looking back at She seems quite angry," Zhou Liren, sitting next to Hao Ren, asked.

"Uh, I don’t know," Hao Ren replied innocently.

He looked down at his phone and saw another text: "There are too many people wanting to attend the lecture this time. The tickets for entry have a limit. I managed to get two through the Student Union! Gotta go now, class is starting!"

Sigh... Hao Ren sighed.

This monitor was being overly serious about everything. Just because of something he casually mentioned before did she really need to drag him along

He rubbed his sore and numb arms, leaning on the table and continuing to doze off. The table creaked under his weight. Carrying a hundred pounds truly wasn't comfortable.

The afternoon classes were small ones such as college English, and Hao Ren wasn't with Xie Yujia. After the two incidents where Su Han had given him "small gifts," Hao Ren hadn't dared to seek her out during this period of time; the closer he got to Su Han, the more terrifying she seemed.

So after four o'clock, he would kill time in his dorm until six. Then he'd go with Zhao Jiayin and the other two for dinner at the cafeteria before heading off together to attend Ma Zhe's public elective course.

The class started at six and ended at 7:30 because it was a large classroom, when the bell rang, the crowd flowed out of the door like a tide.

Hao Ren and the other three always sat in the back row, so they were among the last to leave the classroom.

"Zhao Jiayin, let's go for late-night snacks! You should treat us since you've narrowly escaped disaster this time!" Zhou Liren said as he pushed his way forward.

"Damn it! Since Tuesday, I’ve treated you several times already because of that!" Zhao Jiayin punched Zhou Liren in the back.

Zhou Liren laughed and looked back at Cao Ronghua. "Cao Ronghua, how about you treat us"

The four of them pushed each other out of the classroom door.

Suddenly, Xie Yujia appeared in their field of vision, wearing a sky blue strapless mini skirt.

They all froze for a moment. Hao Ren was also quite surprised; he hadn't expected that Xie Yujia would personally come here to wait for him.

Xie Yujia's clothes couldn’t be called evening wear, but they were still very beautiful. Moreover, both her face and figure ranked at the top, and her temperament far exceeded an ordinary girl’s; dressed like this in such a light and airy style, it was practically dating attire!

Hao Ren and his three companions stood dumbfounded by the door, while the boys who had already left kept looking back over their shoulders at the beautiful woman standing there.

"Hao Ren, let's go," Xie Yujia smiled at Hao Ren.

“Uh huh.” Nodding his head, Hao Ren turned to Zhao Jiayin and said, “I’m going with the class monitor to attend a lecture.”

Zhao Jiayin and the other two continued to stare at him with blank expressions.

"Let's go, we're running out of time," Xie Yujia tugged at Hao Ren's sleeve and urged him.

Hao Ren then followed Xie Yujia out of Building D. He pushed aside her bicycle that was parked outside and got on it. Meanwhile, Xie Yujia nimbly hopped onto the back seat and held onto Hao Ren’s waist with both hands.

The bicycle swayed as it rode off into the night at the campus.

Zhao Jiayin and his two companions watched this scene before them, completely stunned.

A while later, Zhou Liren twisted his stiff neck and asked, "Ren… Did you really talk to the class monitor"

Meanwhile, on a road at the campus, Hao Ren was riding his bicycle when he asked, "Class Monitor, did you come personally because you were afraid that I wouldn't go"

"Yes, who knows if you went with Zhao Jiayin and the others for an evening snack, leaving me in the lurch" Xie Yujia held onto Hao Ren’s waist jacket while she laughed.

Hao Ren smiled and pedaled faster. He felt that he had never interacted much with the class monitor before, but recently, they seemed to be getting along better.

As for Xie Yujia, it was only after the Mercedes-Benz incident that she gradually began paying attention to Hao Ren. Initially, she was worried about any problems the boys in her class might encounter; however, over time, she noticed that this ordinary-looking Hao Ren didn’t resemble other boys who were mediocre and unremarkable like them—especially how he trained himself secretly at midnight for the sports meet’s long-distance run. This made Xie Yujia realize that Hao Ren was different from others.

Their destination was a circular screening hall outside of Building E. Outside, there were already many vehicles parked, ranging from bicycles and electric scooters to various cars.

Xie Yujia parked her bicycle and led Hao Ren into the glass foyer outside. Worried that someone would take her seat, she hurriedly grabbed Hao Ren’s arm and quickened their pace.

The screening hall was also a lecture hall, with its building modeled after an ancient Roman amphitheater in a circular design. The interior was elegantly decorated and bright.

In the entrance lobby covered with marble, reporters were holding microphones and cameras as they surrounded several individuals in the middle. Xie Yujia felt curious and slowed down her pace, tugging Hao Ren along to approach them.

"Hehe, Mayor Sun, you are so busy yet still came to listen to my lecture," a man with a resonant voice said loudly and cheerfully.

"Academician Hao, I am your loyal fan! No matter how busy I am, I will still come to hear your lectures!" A man in plain shirt said.

Hao Ren recognized him as the mayor of Donghai City, who often appeared on TV news.

The vice-mayor in charge of economy of Donghai City, Huang Xujie's father, stood beside the mayor with a smile and did not speak out of turn.

"Academician Ye looks younger than ever," the mayor said to Academician Hao briefly before turning to the woman dressed in plain suit standing next to him and complimented her.

"Mayor, you are too kind," this dignified lady smiled slightly with her head lowered.

"Academician Ye won another prestigious scientific award when she was in Europe. This is a glory for Donghai City and China's science community!" The mayor laughed heartily and continued.

Accompanying them were also many leaders from the university, college, and senior professors whom they rarely saw. Of course, before the mayor and media people, all of them just smiled without speaking freely.

"Those two are Academician Hao and Academician Ye. Look, this is what a world-class scientist looks like!" Xie Yujia pointed at the couple of academicians secretly while leaning close to Hao Ren with admiration evident on her face as she said so.

"It's about time. We shouldn't keep the students waiting any longer. Let's go in," Academician Hao, who was tall and handsome, looked at his watch and said.

"Alright, alright..." The school leaders all agreed continuously. The mayor and several vice-mayors also stepped forward respectfully to accompany the couple of academicians into the lecture hall.

Academician Hao, who stood out in a crowd due to his height, looked around as he passed by Hao Ren and Xie Yujia, paused slightly before stepping into the lecture hall.

"Let's hurry inside!" Xie Yujia tugged at Hao Ren's arm hurriedly, almost dragging him into the lecture hall.lip and turned back into Hao Ren’s room.Zhao Yanzi and Hao Ren were playing a new game.
